Having used Stack Streaming for over six years, Mid America Broadcasting are confident that there is no platform more suited to their needs.
The organization, based in Northwest Indiana, have been broadcasting high school sports and talk shows since 2009.
Led by a group of core sports fanatics – Bob Potosky, Andy Wielgus, Garret Van Horssen, Brett Hill, and Hank Kilander – who have been involved with covering and administering high school sports in the area since the 1990s, they have forged a reputation over time as being a broadcaster at the heart of amateur sports – a tagline they proudly adopt.
“We started using Meridix around 2018,” Potosky explained.
“It is our go-to for audio broadcasts, with the football season in Indiana now well underway.
“We also partner with another local north-west Indiana outlet to pair video with the Stack audio which we are able to produce on game nights.”
Since 2016, Mid America Broadcasting have been the Friday night home of varsity team Griffith Panther Football.
However, their remit doesn’t just cover football. High school basketball is also proudly broadcast on the platform, enabling the organization to broaden their coverage to include more schools across the area.
In the past, they have also covered baseball, softball, and volleyball too.
When asked about the main benefits of utilizing the Stack Streaming platform, Potosky admits that it has been as well-received by those working within the organization as it has by the players, coaches, and families of those involved in the on-field action.
“It is a very cost-effective solution for us, and as someone who grew up before the internet age, it’s very easy to get into the platform to schedule and reschedule broadcasts,” he added.
“We have also received feedback from players, parents, coaches, and sponsors who say that they will go back after games and listen to our broadcasts.
“Having an archive of the games we cover going up immediately, as soon as we hit stop – that’s another big plus of using Stack Streaming.”
